The members of IATSE Local 798 are make-up artists and hair stylists who are frequently on the set and away from their business or home office.


When a new position becomes available on a job, working members used the “availability list” on the local’s website to contact other qualified members. But without ready access to a computer on the set, this critical staffing function was nearly impossible.


IATSE 798 deployed eMembership’s Member Web Portal and Member Mobile App. Members can now use their phones to report their own availability, as well as search the list for other available members. All data is real-time, connecting directly to eMembership. In addition, members can use the app to check contracts, post work, find other members, and pay dues.
