Checkbox-driven Query Builder
Any staff member can build a custom report by selecting columns and setting filter criteria using checkboxes and picklists. No programming knowledge required. Queries are saved by name and reused directly from the Query Builder search page.
SQL for advanced users
Staff who need more complex queries can write or edit native SQL directly. Start with the checkbox interface and convert to SQL to refine further, or write from scratch with table and column references displayed alongside the editor.

Built-in reports cover the most common union administration needs. The Query Builder handles everything else, including custom requirements confirmed during Discovery.
Membership reports
Membership Listing, Status Change History, Available For Work, Member Account History, and Membership Card Generation are included out of the box. Date ranges and filter parameters are available on each report.
Finance and dues reports
Dues Collections, Check Register, Chapter Payment History, Posted Payments, Employer Receipts, and Employer Remittances. Each finance report includes grouping by chapter, employer, or date period.
Saved and reusable queries
Queries built in the Query Builder are saved by name and can be marked as private, shared with specific users, or made public to the entire organization. Saved queries run directly from the search page with no setup required.
Query parameters
Add parameters to saved queries so users can specify filter values at runtime without editing the query itself. A date range parameter on a membership report, for example, lets staff run the same query for any period with no modifications.
Query directories
Organize saved queries into named directories. Unions with many staff members and reporting needs can group queries by department, purpose, or workflow to make them easier to find and share across the organization.
Custom reports from Discovery
Any reporting requirement that cannot be met by built-in reports or the Query Builder can be added as a custom report during the Discovery process. Custom reports are built and delivered as part of your implementation scope.

You select which columns to include, set filter conditions using plain-language operators (equals, not equals, greater than, in a list, is null), and run the query. The results export directly to Excel. Staff who are comfortable with SQL can also write or edit queries directly, but it is not required.
Yes. Every query is saved by name and can be run again directly from the Query Builder search page without rebuilding it. Queries can be private to the user who created them, shared with specific staff members, or made available to the entire organization. Directories help organize queries when you have many saved. Parameters can also be added to saved queries so staff can specify date ranges or other filter values at runtime.
Both built-in reports and Query Builder results export to Excel with a single click. The Excel file contains the full result set and can be refined, filtered, or shared outside of eMembership. This makes it easy for staff to work with data in the tools they already use for analysis and distribution.
The Query Builder provides access to every data point in the eMembership database, organized by category: member records, member addresses, chapter assignments, member attributes, contact info, financial data, work history, skills, grievances, organizing activity, and more. Each category expands to show all available columns, which can be included or excluded from the query result.
Yes. Custom reporting requirements are documented during the Discovery process and included in your implementation scope. Winmill's development team builds any report that cannot be satisfied by the built-in library or the Query Builder. Custom reports become part of your report menu and function the same as built-in reports, including date parameters and Excel export.
