Pricing

What eMembership costs, and what shapes your price

eMembership is a flat-fee annual subscription plus a one-time implementation. There are no per-member fees and no per-seat fees, so your price doesn't climb as your membership grows or as more staff use the system. This page explains what drives the number and exactly how you get yours in writing.

How the pricing works

Three numbers, and only one of them repeats

Most union software pricing is a per-member rate that punishes you for organizing well. eMembership works differently: one implementation project quoted before you sign anything, one flat annual fee based on the modules you actually use, and optional services when you want them.

One-time
Implementation
Data migration, configuration, integration setup, and staff training. Scoped during Discovery and quoted in writing before any contract.
Recurring
Annual subscription
One flat fee per year covering your configured modules, infrastructure, security, support, and two platform releases. It changes only if you add or remove modules.
As needed
Additional services
Custom reports, additional training, and services beyond standard support. Quoted individually, only when you ask for them.
The honest part

What moves your price up or down

We can't print one number that would be true for a 400-member local and a 40,000-member international. What we can do is show you every lever, because they are the same levers our team uses to build your quote.

1
Which modules you configureThe platform has 18. A core set gets you started, and each added module raises both the implementation and the annual subscription.
2
Member-facing add-onsThe Member Mobile App and Member Web Portal are add-ons. Both are fully integrated, not third-party products.
3
Integrations and customizationsConnections to your accounting system, payroll, and other systems are scoped to your environment.
4
Data migration complexityMost locals come to us with decades of records in a legacy system or spread across spreadsheets. That is the normal starting point, and Discovery is where we scope exactly what the move takes.
5
Training and rollout depthSeats are unlimited, so this is never about headcount. It is how many sessions you want, which roles need their own walkthrough, and whether training is remote or on-site.
6
Document storageEvery implementation includes a storage allocation, with more available if your local keeps heavy document archives.
Want to keep the number down? Start with the core modules your operations need on day one and add the rest later. Modules can be added after go-live, and many locals phase them in as staff get comfortable.
What you are paying for

Included in every subscription

Unlimited staff seats. Every officer, steward, and administrator, with no per-user math.
US-based infrastructure and support. A dedicated Project Manager and Account Manager for every client.
Two platform releases per year. Every client receives every general enhancement at no extra cost.
A 30-day review window. Releases land in your test environment first, with time to test and approve.
Response targets in the contract. Defined severity levels backed by service level credits.
Security included, not itemized. Infrastructure, monitoring, and the full security stack are part of the subscription, never a line item.

The Discovery Project

How you get your actual number

Discovery is a fixed-scope project where we map your operations with your team, scope every module, integration, and migration detail, and hand you a complete written quote. It's how we can promise the implementation price before you sign anything.

1
Map your operations
We walk through how your union runs today: dues, grievances, dispatch, communications, and everything in between.
2
Scope your configuration
We identify the modules, add-ons, integrations, and migration scope your local actually needs.
3
Deliver a written quote
You receive the complete configuration, implementation plan, and price in writing.
What if you go through Discovery and choose someone else?
Then you walk away with the deliverable. The operations map, the requirements scope, and the written plan are yours to keep, and they make you a sharper buyer of whatever system you choose. Discovery creates no obligation to continue with eMembership.
Context

How this compares to the pricing you will see elsewhere

Per-member pricing
Common across union software. Your cost rises every time you organize new members, which means your software vendor profits from your wins without doing new work.
Per-seat pricing
Standard in general-purpose CRMs. It quietly discourages you from giving stewards and field staff access, which defeats the point of a shared system.
eMembership: flat fee by module
The price tracks what the software does for you, not how many members you serve or how many staff log in. Grow your membership and your price stays put.
Common questions

Pricing questions unions ask us

Neither. Pricing is based on the modules you select, not on member or user counts, and staff users are unlimited. A core module set gets you started, and each added module increases both the one-time implementation and the annual subscription.
Platform releases ship about every six months and are included for every client at no extra cost. A brand-new module built for a specific need is quoted separately, the same as any module you add after go-live.
Because a single number would mislead you in one direction or the other. A local running member management and dues has a very different configuration from an international running dispatch, grievances, and a member app across regions. What we publish instead is the structure, every cost driver, and a process that puts your real number in writing before you commit to anything.
The intro call tells you quickly whether eMembership fits your operations at all. The Discovery Project then produces your complete written quote: configuration, implementation plan, and price. Nothing is left to be discovered after you sign.
Multi-local arrangements come up regularly, and group terms can be discussed with our leadership when several locals evaluate together. If that's your situation, raise it on the intro call.
Here's the honest answer. eMembership is a real investment, and it isn't the right fit for every local's budget today. The flat fee scales down through module count, but it has a floor, because every subscription carries the same infrastructure, security, support, and platform releases. If the budget isn't there yet, two things are worth knowing. Modules can be phased in over time, so you can start with what you need most. And group terms can be discussed when several locals in a council or an international evaluate together. If the honest answer after an intro call is that eMembership is out of reach for now, we'll tell you that, because your officers' time is worth more than a demo that goes nowhere.
Four things: how many modules are being configured, which integrations connect to your accounting and payroll systems, how complex your data migration is, and how much training your staff needs. All four are scoped during Discovery, and the implementation price is fixed in your written quote.
